The NYA boys cross country team competes in Western Maine Conference (WMC) Class C. The program has a history of qualifying for the State Championship Meet and finishing in the Top 10. The team also achieved an impressive two straight Class C State Championships in 2011 and 2010, bringing their total up to 4 state championships since 2000.
The NYA girls cross country team competes in Western Maine Conference (WMC) Class C. The team has a strong history of post-season competition and can be counted on to qualify for the State Finals each year, and typically finish in the Top 10. In 2002, the NYA girls cross country team was the WMC Regional and State Champions. In addition, the team also featured the individual state champion.
